PreK Information

Pre-K program

Pre-Kindergarten pre-enrollment form.

General Information:

*Child must be three (3) or four (4) years of age on or before August 31 of the  current year to be eligible for the Three Year or Four Year Program. 
*Students MUST reside in the Valley Center School District
*Transportation is available for all Pre-K students.


Class Schedule:
Morning Session: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Session: 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Classes are Monday through Thursday, no class on Friday.


Qualifications:
Preschool classrooms include children with an IEP (individual education plan), children who meet grant-funded at-risk criteria and grant-funded peer models.
At risk criteria:
Single parent home
Low Income (child's family must qualify for free meals)
Teen parent (at least one parent must have been a teen when THIS child was born)
No High School diploma or GED (at least one parent doesn't have either of these)
Limited English Language
Developmental Delay (parent suspects that the child has a developmental delay; a delay will   be determined by pre-testing)
