In 2022, the USD 262 Board of Education adopted the 2022-2026 District Strategic Plan: "SOAR. Creating Systems to expand Opportunities and increase Achievement, while aligning Resources." In the strategic plan, the goal for "Resources" is defined as: The district
will utilize and create optimal learning environments.
As a growing
district with record-level enrollment, a community facility visioning
task force was established by the Board in August of 2022. The task
force will review current facilities and learning environments and is
expected to make recommendations to the Board of Education in 2023.
