Library Mission Statement:

to enable students to access, evaluate, and use information,
both print and electronic, and to develop a love of reading and life-long learning. 


  

Abilene Elementary library has approximately 12,000 books and other materials.  All students come in once a week for a 30 to 40 minute library lesson and to check out books.  They may use the library at other times for additional checkout, research, or class projects. 

Common Sense Media.org is a great resource for parents to use for reviews on current movies, video games, websites, and to get ideas on how to keep their children safe on the internet.
