Special Education Position Information

The Sedgwick County Special Education Cooperative (Coop) hires and places Certified Teachers and Para Educators in the Valley Center Schools. The following opportunities currently exist: 

Para at VCIS IS classroom 36 hours a week
Para at Youth Horizons IS Classroom TBD Special Educator Administrator- Special Day School in Mt. Hope

Description & Qualifications: Twelve-month position as a Special Education Administrator. Contracted experience as a building administrator (minimum of one year) required as well as proper licensure (Director of Special Education, District or Building Leadership, Supervisor/Coordinator) to supervise special education programs and special education staff. Includes managing a building, supervising Special Day School programs and approximately 50 staff, working with all member districts and managing an Instructional Materials Center. 

 Location: A newly acquired facility in Mount Hope, KS.
 Start Date: July 1st, 2017

 Salary: $70,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience and education.
